Web 3.0!

When many of us are grappling to understand the impact of Web 2.0 some are moving on to discuss and standardize 3.0! What is web 3.0? From the little I’ve read it is the era of machines (yes all those Sci-fi movies could be correct). At present everyone speaks about community and community driven websites but some argue that there is a wealth of information out there which we cannot access as humans. I tend to agree....how much of surfing can one do in the limited time you work at office!

Tim Berners-Lee (Sir that is) the father of the WWW names it the Semantic Web....confusing? Well it’s not so bad, what it aims to do is have a standard that other applications can read without a problem. This will be equal to the web being a very large data base.
You as the user will be able to navigate it through software which you can manage on your own. Yes no more surfing just more filtered information of what you require.

I don’t think we should get too excited about it and urge you to master Web 2.0 which is still young. However this is just an attempt to keep you informed of the changes that might take place. Why did these things have to move from the 4 simple "P"s?

For those who want to listen to expert my friend Danese Cooper informed me that Doc Searls is talking about Web 3.0 at the ApacheCon Atlanta this year.
